... and it's too easy and cheap to add recipients. TED's Chris Anderson discusses why email sucks, why it's getting worse, and how the battle of the overloaded inbox is a losing one. I couldn't agree with his diagnosis more, but his solution—to create an email charter we link to in our signatures—doesn't sound like the solution that will change the world. Still, I've spent a whole lot of time articulating email best practices myself, so I support having the conversation. Here's how you can help create an email charter.

A recent article in the New York Times points out that eBay's busiest time of day is between 6:30 pm and 10:30 pm in any given time zone. Subsequently, it's also the best time to sell your goods, not just because more people might see the auction, but also because they might have already kicked back a few drinks. More »

Learning Markdown Today

Today I decided to finally learn markdown. Not sure yet If I really understand all the conversion options. Just care about the fast html. Here is a list of reasons why I am learning Markdown.

  • First, I understand that my blog host Squarespace supports it.
  • Second, Merlin Mann and other GTD wizards keep going on and on about how great it is.
  • Third, If it can help me type faster html than it may be worth it.

Not super compelling reasons but hopefully you can comment and let me know how you use markdown.
